16 . November . 2022AMICE Board appoints new directors from Germany and Ireland
The Association of Mutual Insurers and Insurance Cooperatives in Europe (MBO99), the voice of the mutual and cooperative insurance sector in Europe, has announced the appointment of two new Board directors. John Kearns, CEO, IPB Insurance (Ireland), and Klaus Endres, R+V Board member with responsibility for property and casualty insurance and passive reinsurance, R+V Versicherung AG (Germany), have been appointed as directors by the AMICE Board, replacing retiring directors Michael Garvey and Dr Norbert Rollinger respectively. Their appointments will be proposed to the AMICE General Meeting of Members for ratification in June 2023.
John Kearns replaces Michael Garvey as IPB’s representative on the AMICE Board. He has previously held senior leadership positions in Ireland and the US.
Klaus Endres replaces Dr Norbert Rollinger as the R+V representative on the AMICE Board. Prior to joining R+V, he held senior appointments at AXA and Zurich Insurance Group.
AMICE President Grzegorz Buczkowski said: “I am delighted to welcome our two new Board directors, who have such a wide experience in the insurance sector. The AMICE Board looks forward to working with them in our activities to represent European mutual and cooperative insurers.” He continued: “I would like to thank Michael Garvey and Dr Norbert Rollinger for their strong service and commitment to the work of AMICE.’’
