At its General Meeting today in Mainz, Germany, the members of The Association of Mutual Insurers and Insurance Cooperatives in Europe (AMICE), the voice of the mutual and cooperative insurance sector in Europe, elected a new AMICE Board for a three-year term. Joining the Board as new standing members are Spiros Barkouzos, Chief Risk Officer, Syneteristiki, Tom de Troch, CEO, Fédérale Assurance and Belinda Walther Weger, Head of Public Affairs, La Mobilière.
The AMICE Board now comprises:

Grzegorz Buczkowski was unanimously reappointed as President of AMICE for a third three-year term. Christophe Ollivier and Oliver Schoeller were unanimously reappointed as Vice-Presidents, and Róbert Lilli was unanimously reappointed as AMICE’s Treasurer.
Tom Meeus (Fédérale Assurance, BE), Odilo Bürgy (La Mobilière, CH) and Dimitrios Zorbas (Synerteristiki, GR) retired from the AMICE Board. AMICE’s President thanked them for their valuable contributions to the work of the Association and welcomed three new Board members. Spiros Barkouzos, Tom de Troch and Belinda Walther Weger all bring strong leadership and diverse expertise and insight to AMICE’s work.
AMICE President, Grzegorz Buczkowski, said: “The new AMICE Board reflects the profile of our members across Europe, by size, location and structure. This diversity enables AMICE to understand its members across the spectrum, and best represent their views and interests at the European level. I am personally delighted to welcome such a strong group of new directors to our Board, and look forward to serving with them in the coming years.”
He continued: “I thank the AMICE members for electing me President for a further term, and for their confidence in our Board under my Presidency.”
