Transforming risk, creating value and supporting simplification

AMICE will host an invitation-only senior-level event in Dublin on 15 September 2026, during the week that Eurofi’s Financial Forum and the Ecofin meeting takes place.

The event, themed Mutuality for a Competitive and Resilient Europe:Transforming risk, creating value and supporting simplification, will bring together EU and national economic and financial decision-makers with senior representatives from the mutual insurance sector for a focused exchange on mutuality, risk and value creation in Europe’s financial services landscape.

The event will take place from 17:00–18:30 and will be followed by a drinks reception.

The programme will include welcome remarks, a welcome address, a keynote address and two panel discussions.

Panel 1: Transforming risk through mutualisation
Insurance plays a key role in managing risk, converting threats into managed exposures. This panel will examine how the mutual model strengthens risk pooling, prevention and resilience through long-term partnerships with citizens, businesses and communities. Speakers:

Panel 2: Creating value for the economy
As the EU advances its Savings and Investment Union and seeks to mobilise private capital for sustainable growth, this panel will explore the role of insurers – particularly mutual insurers – as long-term institutional investors aligned with Europe’s economic and social priorities. Speakers:
