DESCRIPTION:Transforming risk\, creating value and supporting simplification\nAMICE will host an invitation-only senior-level event in Dublin on 15 September 2026\, during the week that Eurofi’s Financial Forum and the Ecofin meeting takes place. \nThe event\, themed Mutuality for a Competitive and Resilient Europe:Transforming risk\, creating value and supporting simplification\, will bring together EU and national economic and financial decision-makers with senior representatives from the mutual insurance sector for a focused exchange on mutuality\, risk and value creation in Europe’s financial services landscape. \nThe event will take place from 17:00–18:30 and will be followed by a drinks reception. \nThe programme will include welcome remarks\, a welcome address\, a keynote address and two panel discussions. \nProgramme \nWelcome remarks\nGrzegorz Buczkowski\, President\, AMICE \nWelcome address\nRobert Troy\, Minister of State\, Department of Finance\, Ireland \nKeynote address\nProfessor Andrew Burke\, Chair of Business Studies\, Trinity Business School \nPanel 1: Transforming risk through mutualisation\nInsurance plays a key role in managing risk\, converting threats into managed exposures. This panel will examine how the mutual model strengthens risk pooling\, prevention and resilience through long-term partnerships with citizens\, businesses and communities. Speakers: \n\nLuca Giordano\, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility\, Unipol Group\nPhilippe Guyonnet-Dupérat\, Deputy Director\, Insurance and Social Security\, Directorate General\, French Treasury\nLaura Heuston\, Co-Founder\, Sustainability Works\n\nPanel 2: Creating value for the economy\nAs the EU advances its Savings and Investment Union and seeks to mobilise private capital for sustainable growth\, this panel will explore the role of insurers – particularly mutual insurers – as long-term institutional investors aligned with Europe’s economic and social priorities.
